Get a quick traffic bump from Facebook

Feeling too lazy to generate a bunch of new content for your Facebook page? Here is a quick tip to generate new buzz on old content.

Browse through your old posts (usually pictures) and find something meaningful, then click like on a few of the comments and create a new short comment.

What this does is trigger Facebook’s display algorithm and any of your followers who happen to be around will see it and you’ll be surprised how often you’ll get quick counter-comments. This works especially well on older posts that your newer friends may have missed. Remember that any kind of ‘fresh’ content gets thrown into the newsfeed, not just new posts.

A more advanced option is to tag someone on a comment. This brings them in and they usually comment and then their friends as well as yours will get a new view.
